Stream Farm is situated in a hidden valley high up in the Quantocks in Somerset. Their livestock graze the permanent pasture and their red and white clover leys throughout the spring, summer and much of the autumn when the pedigree Dexter cattle are moved to winter in their barns. Here they eat their own silage in the long winter months. They have calves all the year round, and they lamb their pedigree Hampshire Down so that they are ready for eating in the late Spring and Summer.

It wasn’t long before he realised that he’d found his niche in Fruit and Veg and in 1962 he branched out on his own with A. David and Co.
