Below are some of our suppliers. However, we have a few who come and go that do not seek the limelight, preferring to work quietly in the countryside.
J&A Gibbinsof Exeter
J&A Gibbins is a specialist supplier to the catering industry, with over 150 years’ butchery expertise. The family business was first established in Exeter, Devon in 1860 and today J&A Gibbins is managed by the family’s fifth generation butcher, Paul Gibbins. They offer a comprehensive range of premium quality products which are locally sourced and fully traceable from field to fork.
The Longman family have been farmers and farmhouse cheesemakers in Somerset for over 100 years.
Today the Longman Group consists of eight farms with over 2,000 dairy cows grazing the rich fertile pastures of Somerset.
All of their milk is used to produce cheese. This provides consistency and the very best quality Farmhouse Cheddar – full of character with a fine balance of strength and depth of flavour. Plus just a hint of the fresh tang reminiscent of the Somerset Levels.
In addition to real Cheddar, their expert cheesemakers also produce an expanding range of great British cheeses and a low-fat Cheddar made with semi skimmed milk. So now there’s no excuse not to enjoy a real taste of Somerset!

This Taunton fish counter offers over 50 different varieties of fresh fish and plenty of expert advice. We have always found their staff to be helpful and friendly and their fish is excellent quality, brought in from Brixham market daily.
